Mary Jo Matsumoto is a fashion designer whose luxury products include handbags, fine jewelry, home furnishings, and couture separates, dresses, and gowns. Her designs have been worn by Angelina Jolie, Robin Wright Penn, Joan Rivers, and Mary Hart, and have also appeared on Oprah, Extra, the Oscars, and Talk Soap with Lisa Rinna. The Mary Jo Matsumoto line has been sold at Fred Segal, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Takashimaya, Henri Bendel, The Four Seasons, The Ritz Carleton, The Rockefeller Hotel Group, and many other fine boutiques and resorts worldwide.

Mary Jo writes a nationally syndicated style blog, www.trustyourstyle.com, whose content is available for feeds that include The New York Times, CNN Money.com, Lexis Nexis, NewsBank, EBSCO, CanWest Mediaworks, and others. She also works as a fashion and beauty journalist specializing in natural, organic, and sustainable products. Her interviews with many leading natural beauty manufacturers, environmentalists, and “green” experts have appeared in numerous venues, including Affluent Magazine, where she serves as a fashion/beauty editor as well as in her Reel To Real column at SheKnows.com, ranked as one of the ten top sites for women by The Wall Street Journal. Mary Jo has also written columns for Diet & Fitness Magazine and is frequently interviewed for her fashion and beauty expertise by publications such as U.S. News & World Reports, Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping, Cosmopolitan Style, Women's Health, Women's World, The National Examiner, First For Women, Men's Edge, MSX Magazine, Wedding Dresses, India Times, Pursuit in South Africa, WM Magazine in the UK, and many other newspapers around the world.

Mary Jo recently worked as a consultant for Dove's online beauty campaign and as a spokesperson for Aveeno Natural Skin Care. She is a founding board member of Forget Yourself, a non-profit founded by UNICEF ambassador Agnes Chan.

Mary Jo graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with highest honors and a double bachelor's degree in Rhetoric and Film. She studied painting in Florence, Italy at Studio Arts Center International and went on to receive her MFA from the New York University Graduate Film Program.
